Vision
The Consulting Club of NSIT is a student-run organization dedicated to the fulfillment of the following objectives:
- To enable the student community to get a clearer perspective of consulting as a career option.
- To help develop students’ skills in consulting by providing hands on learning and exposure.
- To act as an effective interface between consulting firms and the student community.
- To provide in-house consulting services to NSIT start-ups and budding entrepreneurs.
Activities
In keeping with our objectives, we envisage the following activities for the Consulting Club of NSIT:
- Host seminars and workshops to develop awareness and knowledge on consulting.
- Work on real-life projects that include
- Offering consulting services to NSIT startups and nurturing the startup environment at NSIT by helping prospective business plans.
- Exploring avenues to provide professional consulting to the non-profit sector and to startups at NSIT.
- Work on simulated case studies.
- Hold peer-help sessions and interactive discussions for members on contemporary issues in consulting, economics and technology.
Progress
The Consulting Club has been fairly active over the last year with its following activities:
- Working under simulated case studies and distribution of in house knowledge.
- Working on an in-house magazine.
- Organization of various seminars and discussions on the related topics.
- Formation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) related to finance, economics and marketing.
Future
- Conducting seminars/lectures by the 2 Special Interest Groups that have been created-Finance and Economics;Marketing.
- Release of the first Consulting Club Magazine;and making it a regular feature.
- Holding Managerial Events in the college at a collaborative level with College festivals and independently as well.
- Working with NSIT startups and also arranging Alumni talks for students.
