Imagine, Invent, Innovate
Driven by this spirit, Innovision has been hosted with much eclat and elan by NSITians in the past. The technical symposium hosted over a span of three days furthers the vision of the institute to act as an impetus towards development and research in the fields of science and technology. A wide spectrum of events is hosted with the support of IEEE, SAE and ISTE to stimulate the brains of students. Innovision provides a unique forum for the students all over India to interact and bond intellectually with each other. Over 300 colleges and 5000 students from the field of Electronics & Communication,Computer Science, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering and Biotechnology are expected to participate at Innovision2008.
To name a few of the brain tickling events :
- Robo wars
- Micromouse
- Junkyard wars
- Carnage
Robowars sees the best robot-engineering minds from all over the country battle it out in an arena, in an attempt to defeat the opposing team robots in a series of robot battle rounds.
Micromouse is one of the most challenging events, requiring the participants to make their machines negotiate a maze without human intervention of any kind.
Junkyard Wars conducted in the NSIT Central Workshop tests the workshop skills of the teams. They have to nail, hammer, file, cut weld to create the assigned job in a stipulated time.
Carnage is a very popular robotic event, in which the the participant robots have to complete an obstacle course, laden with nails, grime oil, filings, and other terrains. There are a series of disqualifying rounds in Carnage too.
Apart from these tech-events there are also adventurous and non technical events such as:

- Mr and Miss Intellect
- Jam session
