Internship

An internship can be for a variety of positions and reasons. In order to make Internships successful, certain considerations should be taken into account:

Firstly, a position must be set up to fulfill a set of goals for professional development. All internships are helping the student to gain experience and develop skills. In order to make this possible, it is important that all internship positions be assigned by a supervisor. The supervisor should work directly with the intern, providing them certain guidelines and feedback

Secondly, there must some system for feedback and communication. Regular feedback sessions should be arranged to facilitate consistent supervision, guidance will be helpful. Involve your college faculty to interact with supervisor and take feedback regularly.

Thirdly, an internship position may be either paid or unpaid, depending upon the level of work. Compensation may be either pre-determined by the organization, or negotiated with the intern. Except in the case of non-profit organizations, we highly encourage some form of compensation for students.
