A scheme exists for the award of Teaching/Research Assistantship for providing financial assistance to the students. In terms of this scheme, Full Time Ph.D. candidates with M.Tech. or equivalent qualifications are considered. The student who is not found suitable for TRF but found suitable for research can be considered to Ph.D. Degree programme as research fellow with stipend/fellowship as per rule.
The Institute also aims at identifying suitable candidates having keen interest in teaching and research who would like to take up a career in Academics. In line with this objective, therefore, a scheme “Teaching-cum-Research-Fellowship” has also been introduced. Exceptionally brilliant candidates having keen interests in an academic career, shall be considered for this fellowship.
An amount of Rs.15000/- p.m. is being paid under "Teaching-cum-Research-Fellowship" for successful candidates, on completion of Ph.D. under the scheme, stand good chance of being considered for absorption as faculty in this Institute through proper Selection Committee.
