The time has finally come when after about 2 years of preparation, students have come to a stage when they have to decide what college to choose and pursue their engineering careers.Till last year admissions to Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) and DCE(now known as Delhi Technical University,DTU) were based on the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE).However, this year both NSIT and DTU are taking admissions through AIEEE.
There is confusion regarding how colleges will be allocated to the students on the basis of the AIEEE State Rank this year.Although AIEEE State Rank cannot be directly compared to the CEE Rank but it does give a comparative idea. Some facts based on a thorough analysis of admissions to DCE/NSIT in the year 2009 are presented below.
72 of the top 100 candidates who joined either of the two institutes chose NSIT over DCE (now DTU).
The opening and closing ranks of the two institutes are given below

Please note:These closing ranks are of CEE 2009 and things may change drastically as state rank in AIEEE can not be directly compared to CEE rank but can give a proportional idea.
These ranks are only an indication and are published only to give an idea to the students.
The article does not publicize/promote/degrade any college/university.It is based on last year’s CEE admission facts.
